Ann Elizabeth “Annie” Buss, 54, passed away, surrounded by her beloved family, on Thursday, June 15, 2023 after a long battle with a brain tumor. She was born August 4, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio. Annie was an optimistic extroverted spirit with an abundance of love she was always ready to generously give. She loved visiting Santa Barbara, watching the dolphins, swimming in the Rainbow River, taking walks, reading her Bible, and doing word searches in her rocking chair with Kalani (dog) in lap and a Starbucks decaf cup of coffee in hand. Her friends and family were most important to her, and she loved going out to lunch with as many people as she could fit in a week, with a plethora of “thinking of you” gifts in tow. Though Jesus welcomes her home, we miss her telling of Women’s World magazine jokes back here on Earth.

She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Vitek, and dearest uncle, Kaye Callihan.

Annie is survived by her husband of 25 years, William “Bill” Buss; daughter, Emily Buss; son, Zachary Buss; mother, Patricia Vitek; brothers Ken and Mike Vitek; sister-in-law Mary; niece Molly Vitek-Scott; along with many other relatives and friends.
